Titanium Pot: One of our better investments to date. I can remember having and using the stainless steel camp kitchen when I was a young man in the Scouts. Then there was the aluminum alloy cooking utensils that lightened the load. although more expensive, you can’t go wrong purchasing titanium for your ultra light backpacking excursions. The TOAKS LIGHT TITANIUM pots come with a lid, lockable grip and a mesh stock bag. Pairing this up with a Pocket Rocket Stove is a plus at 5 stars. The 1600 ml pot will store the Pocket Rocket Stove and a MSR gas canister inside.

Snow Peak Hot Lips Mug: We know what you are thinking, a coffee mug costing as much as the pot? This was a no brainer for us having experienced the painful burning of the lower lip while taking that first sip of piping hot coffee early in the morning. If your coffee cools, you can simply reheat on the fire without the lip attachment.

This mug weighing in at 3.2 ounces with a capacity of 600 ml also doubles as a pot to boil water for the dehydrated meals. At a rating of 4.5 stars we give it a 5. We really love the Hot Lips Mug.

Spork: This one is worth checking out. An extremely light weight utensil that is a spoon – fork – knife combo with a serrated edge. Non-corrosive and non-magnetic, weighing only 0.7 ounces, it is ideal for backpacking. Extremely durable and easy to clean. Reviews say it has a 4.5 star rating. We love it, and give it a 5 star. Leave the breakable plastic stuff at home!
