If you are dry camping way out in the boonies and do not have cell service what would be your line of communication? Does anyone remember Hurricane Katrina when it hit land? The news media was warning us folks here in the Southeast that the AT&T headquarters building may burn up because they loss power and could not keep the systems cooled down.

Does anyone remember CB radios? It may be a good idea to consider a portable hand held one to keep on hand. Most of our National Parks do not have cell phone service available. It is also a good idea to have one on hand to listen to while traveling down the highways Listening to the truckers can alert a person as to an accident ahead.
