Please note that restroom #1 is located at the front of the campground is new and very nice. Restroom #2 and #3 are in pretty bad shape.
There is a boat rental available that includes, john boats, canoes and paddle boats. You are allowed to bring your own trolling motors. This year they are going to allow private boats. The launch area for the private boats is at the end of the main parking lot. There is a small opening there.
You can make reservations either online or by calling the park directly at the above telephone number.
There are a lot of really nice hiking trails and several back country camping sites. This is a great place to backpack camp with your dogs. The park is 3,687 acres big and is located in the Appalachian Ridge and Valley range. The park topography is dominated by three ridge systems that give some awesome views of the lake. There are old remnants of early settlers as well as cemeteries to see.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds for both RV camping and backpacking camping. Great fishing there too.
