Abrams Creek Campground Road
Tallassee, Tennessee 37878
Abrams Creek Campground is located on the western side of the Great Smoky National Park near the Foothills Parkway. This campground is not usually very busy.
The campground is small, it consists of 16 campsites. There are no hookups, it is what we consider primitive camping. There is water available I the middle of the campground. There is a bathhouse, but no showers. There is an area with a sink to do your dishes. The bathhouse is very old but fairly clean.
The campground is designed for tent campers or small RV’s no longer than 12 foot. The road into and out of the campground is one lane with a lot of large trees to navigate around. Please be careful.
The fee is $14.00 per night and the park service does accept discount passes. As of this time the campground is open from May 22 thru October 13th. The campground is on a first come first serve basis, no reservations.
Before you enter the campground on the way in there is a Ranger Station and parking area for several trail heads. There are numerous hiking trails in this area.
